Dusty Blue & Green styled shoot
As wedding photographers, we tend to see the same trends and the same color palettes. Although there is nothing wrong and each bride has their own style and preferences, I wanted to create a palette and showcase something different. KZN is known for beautiful winter weddings and golden light and yes those warm colors look beautiful but
The Dusty blue and green inspiration and palette can be soft and romantic and can be combined with warmer tones. As a lot of brides want to do something different and traditional weddings are not really the trend I wanted them to see that doing something unique can still be beautiful. You can use different shades of blue and green, it can be minimal and classy.
We wanted the look to look and feel romantic. The dress is something different but still has that romantic look and feel to it. There are details on and sleeves were added and the dress flows nicely which gives it that softness. The flowers we wanted to stand out and be unique in the sense that the design was unique. The different sets we used complimented the dress every time and if a bride doesn’t want to have a bouquet she can do the little pot effect. In makeup, we were going for a soft and natural look but had that bit of boldness and added the bold lip. The hair was really minimal and we went for a classic look. The venue for the shoot was in Port Edward in KZN and it’s a beautiful macadamia farm called Clearwater farm. In the décor, we actually added in some of the nuts to emphasize the farm more. The farm has all these beautiful trees and a stunning open-air chapel.
I chose this venue because it also adds more to the fact that it’s a bit different.
