Christin & Ross’ wedding day at Fordoun Hotel in the Misty Midlands was a beautiful reminder that the heart of a wedding has very little to do with the weather and everything to do with the people standing in it.
December had promised us summer warmth and golden light, but instead, the Midlands showed up wrapped in mist, rain, and a gentle chill that lingered throughout the day. And yet, not once did it feel like anything was missing. If anything, the soft rain and fog seemed to slow time down, creating space for what truly mattered.
From the very beginning, Christin & Ross held their day with so much grace. To them, this wasn’t about perfection or a forecast — it was about their story, their love, and their people. And that intention shaped every single moment.
While we braved the cold and damp during portraits, Christin and Ross never lost their smiles. They couldn’t keep their eyes off one another, as if the rest of the world had faded away. There was an ease between them, a quiet joy that didn’t need sunshine to shine. Watching them together, I remember thinking how rare and beautiful it is to witness two people so deeply present with each other.
Christin planned her wedding day for a long time, and every detail reflected her heart. Each choice was made with care and intention, from the atmosphere she envisioned to the way the day unfolded. Nothing felt rushed or forced — it felt thoughtful, personal, and true to them.
In the end, the misty Midlands gave Christin & Ross exactly the day they needed. One rooted in love, connection, and the simple, powerful truth that when you focus on what truly matters, everything else fades into the background.
