If you’ve ever peeked over my shoulder on a wedding morning, you’ve probably seen me quietly arranging flat lays with rings, and delicate fabric swatches in the corner of a window light.

It might look like I’m styling “things,” but what I’m really doing is honoring stories.

Every ribbon, perfume bottle, or piece of jewelry carries fingerprints of meaning. The pearl necklace might have been your gran's, or your something "old' might be beautiful vintage earrings from your mama.

The cufflinks might have been your grandfather’s. The invitation may be the first time your new last name is printed.

Those little details — the ones that could easily be rushed or overlooked — are what begin your wedding story.

When I first started photographing weddings, I thought details were just part of the checklist. “Get the shoes. Get the rings. Get the bouquet.”

But over the years, I’ve learned that details do something deeper.

They set the emotional tone of your gallery.

They tell the story before you ever walk down the aisle.

I remember one wedding where the bride had pieces of her late father's favourite shirt, woven into her whole wedding story. From bespoke buttons on the back of her dress to his handkerchief, she wanted him to be part of her wedding day and be close to her.

Those small details became the heartbeat of her photos — because they carried legacy.

Every time I photograph something like that, I feel the weight of what I get to preserve. It’s not about prettiness; it’s about permanence.

That’s why I photograph details the way I do — slowly, intentionally, and with a deep sense of reverence.

I don’t rush through them.

I gather them with care, find the light that flatters them, and style them in a way that reflects you.

Because your wedding day deserves to be told like a story — not just from the big, breathtaking moments, but from the quiet beginnings that built them.

I want your detail photos to remind you not just of what things looked like, but of how they felt.

The calm before the celebration. The anticipation in the air. The sacred pause before the forever begins.

So when I photograph your invitation suite, I’m not just capturing paper — I’m capturing promise.

When I photograph your shoes, I’m not just checking a box — I’m remembering how you’ll walk toward a new life.

When I photograph your rings, I’m not just styling jewelry — I’m documenting covenant.

Because in twenty years, those are the photos that will whisper, “Remember this? It all started here.”
