Sarah & Ricky's Backyard 'I do'
Some weddings are more than a celebration—they’re a tribute. A love letter. A legacy.
Sarah & Ricky’s day was all of that and more.
They got married at Sarah’s childhood home, surrounded by the places and people that shaped her. Every inch of that backyard held memories—from barefoot summer days to the front porch where her dad once stood. And though he wasn’t physically there… he was everywhere.
From the very beginning of the day, his presence was woven in so thoughtfully and beautifully. One of the most emotional moments was seeing the seat reserved just for him at the ceremony & the reception—a visual reminder of his place in their hearts.
But Sarah didn’t stop there. She had a shirt of her dad’s transformed into the bows for her shoes, and the buttons on the back of her dress came from his own. Every step down the aisle… every hug… every moment—it all carried pieces of him.
And the moment her brother gave her away?
There wasn’t a dry eye in sight.
I can’t fully describe what it was like to document this day—how much love was felt, how present her dad was even in his absence, how tightly this family held one another. But I’ll say this:
Sarah & Ricky’s wedding wasn’t just stunning—it was sacred. A beautiful blend of past, present, and future.
This one will stay with me forever.
